Breast Cancer is the most common cancer of women in Hong Kong. There are around 4,000 new case were found in every year.

Knowing how your breasts normally look and feel is an important part of breast health. Finding breast cancer as early as possible gives you a better chance of successful treatment.

Mammogram is an X ray of the breast. It detects calcification or lumps much smaller (3mm) than those can be felt by women themselves or doctors. So MMG can detect cancer early before it spreads to other parts of the body.

Women between 40 and 44 have the option to start screening with a mammogram every year. Women 45 to 54 should get mammograms every year.

Women 55 and older can switch to a mammogram every other year, or they can choose to continue yearly mammograms. Screening should continue as long as a woman is in good health and is expected to live 10 more years or longer.
